g. Additional Notes
a. Money & Currency
The common currency of exchange in New Lemuria is the Macchu (Golden) dollar note. Although every
nation has its own banking system, the Macchu
paper currency is favored by merchants and traders. Each Macchu dollar is roughly equal to 1 silver coin in
value.
Some countries still use the precious metal standard, where coins are used
instead of paper money:
1 Gold = 100 Silver = 10,000 Copper
1 Silver = 100 Copper
½ Gold (Half Crown) = 50 Silver
¼ Gold (Quarter Crown) = 25 Silver
½ Silver (Half Moon) = 50 Copper
¼ Silver (Quarter Moon) = 25 Copper
Note that Gold, Silver, and Copper coins are still considered legal tender
in most places. Credit cards do not exist on Neo Lemuria. A few
banks issue checks for major clients.

Notes:
(2H) Indicates 2 Handed melee weapon. Most
ranged weapons are 2 handed, except for some pistols and thrown weapons.
(1) This is a high tech weapon, and generally unavailable on New
Lemuria. Use of this weapon on New Lemuria has 50% chance of failure.
(2) This weapon is restricted, and difficult to obtain on New
Lemuria.
The use of fully automatic weapons, tactical nuclear warheads,
and antimatter bombs should be avoided.
c. Clothing
In AD&D, you get to purchase fancy armor for your PC's. In Shadowrun, you can't even find a decent clothing
list. So, what exactly is your Paladin wearing under his plate mail
armor? What about socks, undergarments, and a hat?
Below are some examples of clothing items. For clothing costs, check
your local stores, on-line mail order catalogs, or simply invent
them. When dressing up, think of your PC as KISS dolls.

f. Food
Go look in your refrigerator, or your local supermarket for
ideas. For heaven's sake, don't feed your PC's generic "survival
rations" or "road provisions". Your PC's do NOT like
to eat chicken feed.

g. Additional Notes
Be creative! Instead of "gruffy
looking ranger" in leather armor & cloak, try something like this:
Momoko, a tall redhead with long, red
hair. Her heavenly eye lashes make men fall at her feet to worship
her. Wearing a denim jacket over her T-shirt, her cut off shorts
showed off her long, tanned legs and her beautiful form. She is a
photographer's dream. Being slightly naive and unaware of her beauty
only adds to her sexiness.
