VII. Spells


Here are some sample spell lists of different Schools of Magic.  The players can purchase knowledge from many schools, but, each school count as one skill slot.  The maximum number of skills a PC can have is 20.


 Bram (air element spells)

1-Dagger Volt

1d6 damage, single target only.  Summons a dagger of electric energy for 1d6 rounds.  Can be cast on a metal blade weapon to add 1d6 points to damage (lasts 1d6 rounds).

2-Bram Gush

Area

1d6 damage, 10' radius effect.  Explosive ball of lightning.

3-Bram Storm

RND

1d6 damage to 1d6 targets.  Rainstorm of electrical bolts.  Targets wearing metal armor take double damage.

4-Fehlzareid

STO

2d6 damage to single target.  Pillar of lightning energy.

5-Bram Fang

TCH

2d6+2 damage to single target.  Summons a saber of wind and lightning for 1d6 rounds.

6-der Kugelblitz

Area

3d6 damage, 30' radius effect.  Ball of lightning.



 Dynast (Kuro Majutsu, black magic)

1d6 damage, cone effect.  Web of lightning.

3-Dynast Flare

4-Boost

STO

Bless one target with dark energy, +1 to all combat related dice rolls for 1d6 hours.

5-Disfang

STO

Summons a Dragon of Shadows, bite target for 3d6 damage.

6-Giga Slayer (very dangerous spell!)

Area

6d6 damage, 60' radius effect, centers on spell caster.  Giant dark energy fireball.  Spell caster has 50% chance of being injured for 3d6 damage.



 Elmekia (Astral energy school)

1-Lighting

Area

30' radius area effect.  Summons a globe of light.

2-Astral Vine

TCH

1d6 damage to single target's Mokona.  Can be used to enhance a blade weapon.  Lasts 1d6 rounds.

3-Elmekia Blade

2d6 damage to single target's Mokona.  Summons a sword of spirit energy for 1d6 rounds.

4-Bram Blazer

Bolt

2d6 damage to target's Mokona, + line of fire.  Shoots a focused tunnel of spirit energy in a wave.

5-Elmekia Lance

TCH

3d6 damage to single target's Mokona.  Summons a lance of spirit energy for 1d6 rounds.

6-Elmekia Flame

Area

2d6 damage to Mokona, 20' radius effect.  Turns spirit energy into astral flames that burn away the target's Mokona.

6-Circle Flare

4d6 damage, 40' radius effect, centers on spell caster.  Circles of flame engulf area, spell caster has 50% chance of being injured for 2d6 damage.

4-Rune Flare

Area

2d6 damage, 10' radius effect only.  Volley of explosive flare arrows descend on target area.

5-Flare Lance

TCH

3d6 damage to single target.  Summons a lance of fire energy for 1d6 rounds.

6-die Feuerkugel

Area

3d6 damage, 30' radius effect.  Solid exploding meteor fireball.  Note this spell throws a solid meteor, water/ice based protection spells do not get bonus vs. meteor (rock) explosion.



 Gaia (Earth Sphere of power)

Digs a 10' deep tunnel through earth and rocks.  If used on Earth elementals & golems, this spell will do 3d6 damage.

2-Vlave Howl

TCH

1d6+2 damage.  Summons a club/whip of lava for 2d6 rounds.

3-Dil Brand

STO

2d6 damage to single target.  Ground explodes upwards, effective vs. ground target only.

4-Dug Haut

RND

2d6 damage to 1d6 targets. Spikes shoot upwards from ground, effective vs. ground targets only..

5-Mega Varimaa

TCH

Summons a 10' tall rock golem with 10 HP for 1d6 turns. The golem has Beef of 6 & 2 melee attacks with fists (1d6 damage).

6-Mega Brand

Area

3d6 damage, 30' area effect.  Lava & stone spikes explode upwards from the ground.  Effective vs. ground targets and aerial targets up to 10' high only.



 Laguna (negative energy/dark magic)

4-Blast Ash

2d6 damage, 100' base range.  Beam of negative energy.

5-Laguna Blast

2d6 damage, 40' cone effect.  Cone of negative energy.

6-Dragu Slayer

3d6 damage, 30' radius effect.  Negative energy fireball.



 Mizu (water)

2-Mos Varim

STO

Encase 1 target in ice for 1d6 rounds.  Target takes 1 point of damage each round while encased in ice.

3-Demona Crystal

Bolt

2d6 damage to single target + line of fire.  Chain of ice crystals.

4-Ice Shield

SH

8 HP shield of ice, each HP count as 2 HP points vs. fire based attacks.

5-Icicle Lance

TCH

3d6 damage to single target.  Summons a lance of Ice for 1d6 rounds.

6-Van Rehl

Cone

3d6 damage, 60' cone effect.  Creates a spray of dense ice blade web toward target.  Dispels fire elementals.



 Momopi (school of the outer limits)

1-Shadow Snap

STO

Binds a single target to her/his shadow, restricts movement for 1d6 rounds.

2-Kyu-Kyum Spin

Area

Covers 30' radius area with thousands of jellyfish for 1d6 rounds. Anyone within area of effect trying to make sudden moves will be shocked by jellyfish for 1d6 damage.

3-Zelas-Gort

Area

Covers 100' radius area with a million pink sea cucumbers for 1d6 turns.  Walking and combat is impossible.

4-Shadow Web

STO

Binds a single target to the ground for 2d6 rounds, in a web of shadows.

5-Payback

TCH

Curse a target for 1d6 turns.  If the target attacks anyone and inflicts damage, the same amount of damage will rebound back at the target (no saving throw).

6-Assha Dist

Cone

6d6 damage, 120' cone effect.  Flurry of positive energy strikes, effective vs. undead, demons, and evil creatures only.



 der Orkan (Hurricane, Wind Magic)

Allows spell caster or 1 target to levitate up and down.

2-Aero Strike

1d6 damage, 20' cone effect.

3-Ray Wing

Allows spell caster or 1 target to fly.

4-Wind Shield

SH

Summons a 10 HP shield of wind.  This spell may be combined with Ray Wing to create a "bubble", for underwater travel.

5-Wind Strike

Cone

2d6 damage, 40' cone effect.  Double damage vs. buildings.

6-Diem Wind

Cone

3d6 damage, 60' cone effect.  Torrent of wind blades.



 Seijin (Spirit)

1-Visfarank

TCH

1d6 damage to single target's Mokona.  Summons spirit energy on the spell caster's fist for 2d6 rounds.

2-Sleep

TCH

Puts 1 target to sleep for 1d6 turns.  Target will awake if there's loud noise, attacked by someone, kicked, etc.

3-Gozvu Rou

RND

1d6 damage to 1d6 target's Mokona.  Ground bursts on target and engulf target with spirit drain force.

4-Valis Wall

TCH

Summons a 12 HP shield of spiritual energy.  Shield is effective against spell attacks and Mokona drain attacks only.

5-Enhanced Sleep

Area

Puts all targets asleep in a 20' radius area.  Targets will awake if there's loud noise, stepped on, kicked in the head, etc.

6-Ra-Tilt

Area

3d6 damage to Mokona, 30' radius effect.  Opens a hole in fabric of reality between real world and astral plane, tears away target’s Astro body.  Spell has 50% chance of causing 1d6 damage to the spell caster.



 Shiro Majutsu (White Magic)

Level / Spell

Spell Effect

1-Recovery

TCH

Heals a single target for 1d6 points by touch.  If used on undead creature, 2d6 damage.

2-Enhance Calm

Area

Calms 2d6 targets in 20' radius for 2d6 rounds.  Calmed individuals will refrain from attacking anyone, unless attacked.

3-Dicleary

TCH

Heal sickness, disease, cure minor poison, and awaken target from slumber.  If used on undead, 3d6 damage.

4-Flow Break

Area

Dispel illusions and minor dark (evil) magic in 10' radius.

5-Holy Bless

TCH

Bless one target for 1d6 hours, gives +1 on all non-combat dice rolls for 1d6 hours.  If used on summoned creatures, this spell will dispel the creature.

6-Mega Flare

Area

40' radius effect.  Dispel summoned creatures back to their homes, 4d6 damage to undead.



 Sonics

1-Silence

TCH

Target is silenced (unable to speak/cast spells) for 1d6 rounds.

2-Sonic Blast

Bolt

1d6 damage to single target + line of fire.  May rebound on hard surfaces in enclosed area.

3-Quiet Sphere

Area

20' radius of silence renders conversation and spell casting impossible.  Lasts 2d6 rounds.

4-Kodachi Laugh

Area

1d6 damage, 20' area effect, no reduction in effect for range.  Centers on spell caster.

5-Silent Sphere

Area

100' radius of silence, centers on the spell caster, lasts 3d6 rounds.  Note:  spell caster will be unable to cast spells inside the sphere.

6-Naga Laugh

Area

1d6 damage, 100' area effect, no reduction in effect for range.  Double damage vs. buildings and structures.  Centers on spell caster.

1d6 damage to 2d6 targets.  Falling glass and metal fragments.

4-Otome Kairo

STO

Target mind-warped, acts like 14 year old girl for 3d6 rounds.

5-Mount Fuji

Area

2d6 damage, 20' radius effect.  Blizzard.

6-Akira Finis

Area

1d6+1 damage to 100' radius, no range reduction for effect.  Miniature (imitation) black hole blast.
