X. Atlas of Neo Lemuria
The Continent of Lemuria is divided in 2 parts: Greater
Lemuria, and Lesser Lemuria. Greater Lemuria encompass the
larger land mass from South China to Indonesia. Lesser Lemuria
is the large island to the right (East) of Greater Lemuria. Beyond the Continent is “Wild
Lands” with various tribal territories, monsters, and fantastic
creatures.
Greater Lemuria
There are 10 Mency (Kingdoms) and 1 Republic
in Greater Lemuria: Anaga, Adeje, Abona, Daute, Güimar, Icod, Tacoronte, Taoro, Tegueste, and the
Republic of Ita-Maram. The 10 kingdoms
vary from absolute monarch to constitutional monarchy. The Republic
of Ita-Maram elects Takkor
(Senators) to their Senate. Although no royal house exists in Ita-Maram, several senators have accumulated sufficient
power to be virtually above the law.

Lemuria. The tribes in Lesser Lemuria form the Tribal Union of Benahoare, where each nation's chief holds 1 seat in
the Tangoror (Council). The crown of Adeyahamen has suzerney over
the territory
of Tegalgen,
and represents the Union of Benahoare in foreign
affairs.

Destruction Of the World: Myth or Bad Weather?
 The
"Earth" planet in Neo Lemuria sphere has a 6,800 year weather
cycle. Every 6,800 years, the global temperatures rise to melt away
the ice caps, raising the sea level by 150-200 meters. The planet
gradually cools down and the ice caps are formed again by the next weather
cycle. When the ice caps reform, sea level is lowered by 150-200
meters.
Ancient Lemurian myth claims the world was
created 18,000 years ago, flooded by the Gods 11,600 years ago, and then
flooded again 4,800 years ago. The creation myth is not without
element of truth.

In 2,000 years, the planet will warm up, and the ice caps will melt. When
the ice cap melts, sea level will rise, and most of Lemuria will be under
water. A few mountain regions will turn into large islands, and the
continent of Asia and Australia
will be separated by sea.
